Lime Jello Salad

1 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 can crushed pineapple (8 oz or 16 oz works)
1 pkg.(4 oz) lime jello
1 cup (about ½ can) evaporated milk
1 small package marshmallows
½ cup chopped pecans

Soften cream cheese and spread evenly over the bottom of a 9 x 13 dish. Heat pineapple, juice and all, and lime jello powder in a pot. Bring to a boil. Then set aside.
Whip one cup of evaporated milk. (It works better if the beaters and glass bowl are cold) Cover the cream cheese with marshmallows and then pour on the whipped cream. Next add the jello and pineapple mixture. Gently fold cream over the jello mixture. Sprinkle top with nuts. Allow to set at least 2 to 3 hrs.
